  1. Your post gives some great tips about what to look out for when caravanning! One of the best things about this type of holiday is the freedom it gives you to go (almost) wherever you want to go. In the UK, we have so many hidden gems of natural beauty, and by staying on campsites, you get to experience them all much more closely.
What’s great is that caravan manufacturers now seem to realise the desire to roam and make adventure caravans to suit this purpose. These more compact caravans are more lightweight and easier to park, store and manoeuvre down narrow country lanes

  2. Love these, especially tip #1. We learned this early, and have taught our kids the same thing. Even when we travel as minimally as possible we still find we bring something we don’t use or need! #fearlessfamtrav

  3. Congrats on your talk and fantastic tips! I agree, holiday parks are such a winner with kids – have just been planning our summer holiday and have gone for campsites so they can turn feral! We holidayed lots in caravans as kids and they are SO fun. #fearlessfamtrav

  4. Tip No. 1. Soooooo true! I always question my packing before I go and when I come back! Great list, and it sounds like a great Show as well, well done you! 🙂

  5. This is a great post and I’m sure your talk was fantastic – huge congratulations for doing it! I love that you included multi-generational holidays: we travelled a lot with both sets of grandparents when we were living overseas and they were some of our best holidays. And, can you believe I’ve never been in a caravan?! I’m ashamed to admit it but it’s true! Maybe 2019 is the year I try it!!

  6. Thank you so much for giving us an insight into your talk. That’s amazing you’ve been on so many trips! What an awesome family you are, and a true inspiration. My boys are desperate for us to get a camper, and I would love to travel more in one 🙂

  7. Great tips – I totally agree and think so much of this applies to all family travel (not least not forgetting your own pants!!). Slowing down has been one of the big lessons I’ve learned from travelling with my daughter. Although I do still pack more than I need…

  8. What a fab idea for a post. Embracing slow travel really resonates with me. In the past I’ve been guilty of trying to see and do everything but then you just ends up rushed and over-tired. Now I always plan some down time into our breaks and I’m careful not to pack TOO much in.
