  1. I have to take my phone with me. I have a wee heart condition so need it for emergencies.

  2. Always make sure I’ve got water. Plus a tea bag/cuppa soup so can enjoy a nice hot drink whilst out in the wild

  3. Water, so important, and not just for drinking. Washing off dirt too if needed in an emergency.

  4. I’d love all of this! We spend all our school holidays on adventures and follow you for our inspiration (as we’re only in Somerset).

  6. One thing?! arghh! Rucksack stuffed with everything. Can’t pick one! Waterproof jacket, warm layer, hat, gloves (even in summer), head torch, map, water and snacks, first aid bits n bobs, phone, sometimes powerbank.

  7. 40 years ago, we honeymooned in a Force Ten mark IV. And we knew enough to take a whistle with us when we went out on the moors. Still an essential bit of kit as far as I’m concerned.
