Brilliance in Blogging #BiBs2016 - I'm on the travel blog shortlist

‘Brilliance’ – meaning exceptional talent or intelligence. Or intense brightness of light.

I am prone to a bit of a shiney completion so I’m guessing that I’ve found myself shortlisted in the travel category of the Brilliance in Blogging Awards thanks to the sun reflecting off my T zone. Those mummy flushes are good for something after all!

Joking and word play aside, I am feeling truly blessed to have received enough love for my little family travel blog to get me to the shortlisting stage of the #BiBs2016 blogging awards run by Britmums.

Tin Box Traveller started as a hobby and has slowly evolved into something of which I am very proud. It’s growing with our family and is helping us record our adventures as well as inspiring others to get out and see a bit of the world, whether it’s close to home or hundreds of miles away.

Blogging is still a spare time pursuit for me but one that I take extremely seriously and hope to ramp up a level in the future. Being recognised with award nominations is just one more step towards that, so thank you to everyone who nominated me. You’ve made my blogging year!

What happens next?

The competition is stiff – I’m a fan of all the blogs that have been shortlisted with me in the #Bibs2016 travel category. However, making it through to the final five blogs would be amazing. There’s even a bit of a party in London!

So, if you enjoy my blog and have a spare minute to vote for me I’d be chuffed to bits.

Voting closes on Wednesday 18 May 2016 and the five finalists in each of the blogging categories will be announced on Friday 27 May 2016.
