  1. We love camping by the sea! Cornwall is our fav and we are heading their next week and cannot wait

  2. I like camping in the French countryside. The only problem is, the last time we were there, our campsite was invaded by a wild boar! It didn’t do us any harm but it was a bit frightening to be inside our tent hearing the sounds of the boar snuffling around outside!

  4. I love the Isle of Wight for camping – can pack up and move to a new location in no time and still have beautiful scenery all around.

  6. Right on or very near a beach, any of the gorgeous UK beaches would do us but it’s often easier said than done unfortunately!

  7. I love the Torquay and surrounding areas. We love the views from the heights above the shoreline. Also love visiting Trago Mills at Newton Abbott.

  9. There are so many beautiful places in the UK. The Peak District, Snowdonia, The Yorkshire Dales and Northumberland to name just a few. We love all of these places. We should have gone to Scotland this year but unfortunately had to cancel. That’s the next place on the list. Hopefully next year we’ll be able to go.

  11. As a family we love camping in Sutherland in the Scottish highlands; it’s the perfect place to relax & enjoy quality family time enjoying the simple things in life, the gorgeous beaches, stunning wildlife & breath taking scenery

  13. I love going to the Scottish highlands, can’t be beat for scenery. I also love a small campsite Near crook. It’s very basic but quiet, on the edge of a river and has gorgeous walks all around and a lovely dog friendly pup close by.

  14. Not far from home in the Lincolnshire Wolds, we can go to the middle of nowhere with the puppy and only ever be an hour away from home!

  16. There is a campsite near the base of Pen y Fan, in the Brecon Beacons National Park and it’s such a beautiful setting!

  19. This is a tough one, there are so many beautfiul places to camp, but I do love the amazing and breathtaking scenery of the Lake district, and the peaceful tranquility, and slow pace of the New Forest.

  20. The Yorkshire Dales especially Ribblehead. I have fond memories of camping in farmers field up there and my sister woken up screaming because someone was trying to get in the tent at her side. My dad thinking it was an intruder went out and found the culprit. It was a couple of sheep trying to scratch themselves on side of the tent hahahaha it is one of my favourite memories. Now im loving creating new ones with my son

  21. The Island of Arran in Scotland is the best place to camp. So beautiful and very friendly locals. Love it.

  22. I love camping at Carnfunnock in Co. Antrim. The facilities are amazing and there is always to much going on for the children

  23. We love camping, our favourite place to camp in in Cornwall down by Sennen. We love to get away for a few days and like being by the sea. We are spoilt by living in Devon so go for a change of scenery. It’s good to see our local beauty spots in North Devon mentioned here too.

  25. Would love to go to Lake District for some camping although we have had some amazing times camping in Eyemouth.

  26. We like Anglesey so we can camp near RAF Valley and watch the RAF Jets and fish off the rocks.

  27. Burnham Deepdale, north Norfolk, there’s a lovely campsite there with a great little cafe/tea room. It’s a lovely area

  28. The Northumberland Coast line with its long clean beaches is my favourite place for camping. The scenic walks are spectacular. If you want to get away from the crowds it is a perfect choice for a holiday.

  32. I love to camp with my friends, in fields, listening to damn fine rockabilly and hillbilly. My favourite weekender is The Hillbilly Hoedown in Newark Show-ground. Was meant to be this weekend!

  33. Currently our favourite place to camp is in the back garden. Our littlest is at the stage where he wants to go camping but by 11pm, when the marshmallows have all been toasted and the stories are all told, is wanting to go to his own bed it’s still fun though.

    1. In UK, our best trip was to the Gower Wales and a trip to three cliffs Bay. Europe, was Slovenia, so beautiful and unspoilt.

  35. We went camping in north Yorkshire last year. It was near a place called ‘giggleswick’, which made us giggle every time we passed it

  39. This is a tough question!
    I adore the views from Treen campsite in Cornwall, the site is idillic and situated right on the South west coast path
    However, both of the campsites at Gwithian are also fantastic and walkable to the beach and the ‘Jam Pot’ cafe – which is an absolute GEM!

  41. Camping anywhere in the Uk has been a delight, especially coastal areas. Although my favourite memory of camping has always been the very first time – in my parents back garden as a child.

  42. My entire 6 weeks holiday I’d spend the summer camping, unfortunately one of my lasting memories is the taste of the baked apples I’d naively roasted in the campfire, 40 years later I can still taste it. It did inspire me to invest in proper equipment though, oh, and a fishing rod too

  43. We love camping everywhere but our favorite has to be the Cotswolds for a quiet break or the Corbridge Music festival with my daughter and her family

  44. I love exploring new places, I’ve not been back to the same site twice, but my favourite we’ve visited the last few years was Ruda in Croyde. It was a lovely clean site, overlooking the sea, you could hear the waves in the tent at night and had a brilliant entertainment for the kids.

  46. Never been camping, have done glamping in isle of wight, devon and sussex, but seriously looking at proper camping as an option so am open to suggestions!

  47. So far I have only been camping in Canada, and the best camping there is in Alberta and British Columbia. However I am looking forward to some trips here soon

  48. Gosh literally everywhere really! Nothing beats that feeling of freedom sleeping under the stars… we do love to visit Treen Farm Campsite in Penzance as often as we can though… so many amazing family memories made there x

I love to camp in newgale in west wales – there’s a really basic campsite just up the hill from the seafront about a 5 minute walk – has beautiful views and is right on the coastal path for walking. The site itself has rubbish collection recycle points, a fresh water tap and a drinking water tap and 2 ladies and 2 mens toilets. It’s the perfect base for exploring the region and for water sports.

  51. We love going to Cornwall – I think Falmouth was the nicest place we visited – it’s so pretty!

  52. I love to camp in the heart of the Lake District. You wake up in nature and spend your days hiking, it’s such a beautiful area of the country.

  53. Anywhere in Scotland, we’re allowed to wild camp so you can go on some real adventures, then when you want something more civilized the camp sites are amazing!

  54. I have been told walking could really help my back problems and help strengthen my core. This kit looks amazing for getting more into the outdoors.

  55. My first and best camping holiday was to Iceland – it was the only way we could afford to go there! We camped at some spectacular locations, like Skogarfoss and Myvatn.

  59. I need one of the square sleeping bags so badly! Mine is one of the coffin shaped ones where you can’t move your legs. So Claustophobic!

  60. We have a local campsite to us at Napton and it is pretty much just a field, but you could be anywhere, as long as the weather is nice. I miss the outdoors 🙂

  62. The lake district by far, I used to go every summer with my grandparents all around and near Windermere.

  63. One of the best places to camp is on the north-west coast of Scotland (Sutherland), lovely sandy beaches, clear blue water and tranquil location. Ideal if you like indulging in watersports.

  64. Has to be the Canadian Rockies! All those majestic mountains and the unreal blue lakes. Perfect!

  65. We had the best family holiday when we went to the Netherlands last year, it was so nice so that is my favourite place. We plan to go again next year.

  66. My favourite place to go camping is Bala in North Wales. The lakeside is so beautiful and tranquil, and there’s fantastic views all round.

  67. Im fickle with my camping.. i like to change it up.. sometimes the coast sometimes in the middle of nowhere! It really depends how im feeling at the time!!

  69. We always loved Tenby when the kids were younger, now it’s just the two of us France is where we usually go.

  70. I love to camp in Norfolk – Cromer which is the near the seaside. It rained last time so hoping for some clearer weather next time!

  74. Paignton in Devon. It’s a central location for exploring South Devon and there’s loads of activities to do.

  75. That’s a hard question to answer. We camp all over the UK and France. It is always a dilemma when planning our next trip whether to venture somewhere new or return to old favourites. By number of return visits we have made then Benodet in Brittany and the Brecon Beacons in South Wales must be high on the list of favourite sites.

  76. Hopefully will be at the Le Mans 24hrs this September – nothing says camping like racing cars going past at 3am!

    1. I have only started camping in places such as the lakes (Windermere, Keswick Cumbria) in the last few years but have found it extremely enjoyable and very welcoming especially where diversity is concerned, love it .

  80. If it wasn’t for the midges, it’s Aviemore! Love the climate and great facilities in the south of France.

  81. Our favourite places to go camping are the Forest of Dean and Devon. The New Forest is on our to-do list.

  82. It sounds so bizarre but we have a lovely campsite about a 10 minutes drive away from our home! We love it there! It has canal boats, fields and woods, horses and farm animals and a pub. Also if the weather is truly horrendous we can nip back home.

  83. My parents have a caravan in the countryside, we often set up a tent nearby for the extra room.

  84. We love The Lake District for camping but we also love a little campsite in Cambridgeshire which we’ve stayed in a couple of times in a pod.

    1. Love camping in rendlesham. Lots of forest to get lost in and there’s the ufo trail if you really want to spook yourself out!

  88. currently we have been camping in the garden with kids!! The food is terrible, the facilities are substandard and the ground staff are quite moody and complain about the ‘loud snoring’
    2** wont come again, may kick the bins when I leave!

    1. We’re booked in at Park Foot, Pooley Bridge. Love it there, and there’s a great gin shop in the village!

      1. We’re going for the first time in 6 weeks. Only venturing half an hour from our home in North Norfolk to see how we get on. That said, we’ve already got a list of places in the UK we want to go
