My blogging new years resolutions

Use my DSLR camera more
It’s so easy to grab my iPhone and snap away but it caught me out over the summer when its memory was rammed and the quality of my shots went down considerably. We have an SLR – it just need to get into the habit of having it close by.
Take more family pictures
This obviously isn’t just a blogging thing. I was asked for a family photo to go with a guest post on someone else’s blog recently and really struggled to find something from the past year.
Get a personalised blog theme
When I visit other blogs I often get a touch of design envy. I know that the quality of writing remains the most important element but it doesn’t do any harm when a blog is also easy on the eye. I’ve heard Etsy is a great place to pick up great designs.
Be more social on Twitter
Start a regular themed post
I want to look back at favourite travel memories in a regular post. I’m still working on the name but hope to start this on Thursday 1 January.
Post more for Children are Welcome
I’m a guest blogger for CAW but haven’t been posting regularly about the child-friendly businesses in my area. Part of the problem is finding the time to get out of my usual routine and visit new places. Hopefully I’ll get more opportunity to do this while I’m on maternity leave.
I love hearing what people think about my blog so feel free to leave a comment below and browse around. You can also find me on Bloglovin’, or follow me on Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and Pinterest.
I’m linking up with You baby Me Mummy and Mums’ Days.

some great resolutions i am guilty of always using my iphone for photos and often forget i even own a camera. And we have no recent family photos either, i think i may have to steal that idea xx
Goodness, don't even MENTION giving up chocolate 😉
I'm glad it's not just me that misses all the major photo ops 🙂 No problems at all, it was great fun x
Simple is sometimes best. If you over design any web page it becomes too busy and hard to read. It's striking the balance between unique and easy on the eye that's the tough bit 🙂 Thanks for popping by x
That is definitely the trouble!! I had a look a few months ago and was overwhelmed. There must be one for me out there though! 🙂
I think getting to grips with our cameras is a universal blogger resolution! If only it was a simple as our lovely iPhones! 🙂
Thank you! I'm getting a camera crash course from Mr TB – he's so much better with the tech than me but never remembers to take photos! 🙂
These are great goals. There's loads of fab blog designs on Etsy – the trouble is trying to narrow it down to just one! 🙂
Jenna at Tinyfootsteps xx
Some great ideas there. I envy other blog designs too although I have just updated mine to it's plainest theme yet! #thelist
I'm with you on the photo side of things – I'm the worst blogger/mother and never take photos when it matters, like family gatherings or fun outings!! I really need to get more organised to make sure I always have my camera charged the night before…and then do something useful with the photos – my filing system requires the enigma machine to work it out!
Thanks for linking up your hopes for 2015 to #TheList xxx
Great post, I also have a DSLR that I would love to learn how to use properly. Good luck with your resolutions #TheList
Great goals! I too am hoping to understand and use my DSLR more instead of using my iphone all the time!
