Baby-friendly cottages perfect for family celebrations

Baby-friendly cottages perfect for family celebrations

I know it’s early but I couldn’t wait any longer to tell you where we’ll be celebrating our Christmas this year – the baby-friendly cottages at Bosinver Farm in Cornwall.

We’ve had a special invite from Nanny Pat and Farmer Dave to become blogging ambassadors for Bosinver and it was an offer we couldn’t resist. Mr Tin Box and I had already been talking about a winter holiday and Bosinver Farm near St Austell is the ideal place for a baby and toddler-friendly get away in the UK.

All the cottages have now been booked up for Christmas but there’s still a chance for your to stay in Cherry Cottage for New Year. Check out the wonderful festive deals on offer at Bosniver.

The farm offers 20 luxury cottages, all equipped for the smallest of guests, sleeping between four and 12 people. We’re going to be having a quiet Christmas with just the four of us, but imagine the possibilities for bringing the whole family along to celebrate a special occasion like a birthday or anniversary. Two of the larger properties, the Farmhouse and Lowen, come with fantastic family areas and their own hot tubs.

Here’s a few of the reasons why we’re so excited about our winter family break in Cornwall:

Award-winning accommodation

Take a quick glance around the Bosinver website and its obvious why their self-catering cottages are multi-award winning. They are stunning. No expense has been spared in the interior design of these homes away from home.

Baby and toddler facilities

So many kiddie essentials come as standard at in Bosinver cottages meaning you don’t have to cram them in the back of your car. Each cottage has child-friendly cutlery and crockery, a Delia Smith blender, night lights, plug covers, a toy box and a range of children’s books and DVDs. There’s also a small, folding wooden cot. Alternatively a crib or larger travel cot can be supplied. Other items available include stair gates, high chairs, booster seats, bed guards and baby monitors. Check out the Bosinver website for the long list of items you don’t need to pack!

Child-friendly activities

There’s so much for babies, toddlers and older children to do at Bosinver. From outdoor play equipment and woodland walks, to the wild kids club and pony rides. Indoors there’s a play barn, games room and a swimming pool heated to a balmy 30 degrees to keep tiny bathers toasty warm.

Cornwall days out

There are dozens of baby and toddler friendly days out in Cornwall all year round. Nanny Pat has even written an ebook based on her own experiences or you can check out recommendations on the blog to help you plan your stay. Some of the places we hope to visit are the gardens at Trebah and the Blue Reef Aquarium in Newquay, both of which will be open throughout the winter.

Dogs can stay too

Last but not least, Bosinver Farm is dog-friendly with a number of cottages welcoming four-legged friends by arrangement. So we can celebrate Christmas with Tin Box Dog too.

As you can probably tell, I’m already very excited about our Christmas at Bosniver Farm Cottages. It’s not just the Tin Box girls who will be losing sleep about the festive season between now and December!

If you’re looking for a last minute autumn getaway with your family check out the website for availability and special offers.

Disclosure: my family and I are blog ambassadors for Bosinver Farm Cottages and will be guests at Christmas.
