Entertaining the nursery teddy on a budget
Call me naive, but I never realised how much competition surrounded entertaining the nursery teddy. It’s a stuffed toy after all!
It’s all well and good if you have the spare pennies to make these adventures happen, but in the Tin Box household we decided to keep our few days with the Tot’s nursery teddy, Eddie, simple. He accompanied us on a pre-planned weekend away in the caravan and a free visit to the ruins of the medieval Bishops Waltham Palace in Hampshire.
We got some fun photos of Tin Box Tot sharing a budget adventure with Eddie and didn’t have to spend a penny on top of what we would have otherwise during the weekend.

- Have a teddy bears picnic in your garden or inside. Teddy is bound to love meeting all the other cuddly toys of the house
- Take teddy on a trip to the supermarket where he can help with the weekly shop
- Go to the park for some free fun on the play ground or a game of football. Teddy might find a hidden talent in goal
- Visit some relatives or a friend’s house. Teddy can show off his impeccable manners as a house guest
- Have teddy help you make a cake and take it into nursery/school for all his friends to try.

I like it, but I know there are plenty of mums out there not so secretly envying you 🙂
That doesn't sound boring at all. Taking Marvin to see his relatives is a stroke of genius 🙂
Oh this is brilliant! we don't have school mascots or anything like that here. What a shame! should be compulsary… 🙂

We've been through this twice now! Both times were really soon after he started each of his nurseries and I felt like our weekends were reeeeally boring compared to others! We did take Marvin the meerkat to see the meerkat's at a nearby animal place! Otherwise we were in the car, in the pushchair or in sainsburys! They did have a little tea party at my mum's though!
Sorry Melody! A trampoline picnic and playing the piano do sound like fun though 🙂
Aaack! I wish this was posted last month when Olivia's Preschool mascot (bunny) came to visit us, aside from having a picnic in the trampoline and sleep with her I couldn't think any of exciting and fun things to do like yours. Well, bunny did play the piano but she was too focused on our carrots! 😉
