  45. It has definitely got to be long battery life-I was using a Sony that was about 15 yrs old up until recently which I never switched off and had the original battery in it. I only stopped using it as I had to start charging it every other day and some calls would cause the phone to shut down lol

  47. I think phone designers have to make sure the look and ergonomics of the phone are sound, as well as making sure it is a good phone to use. Despite this i would have to say battery life and functionality are the the most important.

After mine recently plummeted off a nightstand whilst it was charging, I’d definitely say a top feature for my next phone would have to be robustness which would help with my little sticky fingers when she wants to watch herself on video (I literally have no other videos than thousands of my daughter.   59. I think robustness is probably the most important thing for me because a certain young gentleman (aged 2) likes to drop my phone regularly, or knock me and make me drop it! I’m fed up of having new screens installed. I’m now on first name terms with the guys at the phone repair shop and I think they’ve got a tatty old phone that htey keep just to loan to me when I take mine in for yet another repair!
    …although….I am pretty fed up of constantly running out of space too so that would be another feature high on my wishlist

  62. The robustness and long battery life…I am terrible with phoned, I have gone through 6 screen protectors (not even cheap ones) in a month as I am forever dropping it. Also I have to charge my phone 3 times a day as I am terrible for running the battery.

  98. I have to say robustness is the most important for me. Having lost more than one handset to the mouth of a dribbling baby when my three were tiny, the waterproof aspect appeals also but I’m a bit clumsy when I’m rushing and my phone gets dropped regularly.

  107. For me it’s a decent processor. If I’m out and about and want to check an app, like transport times, there’s nothing worse than standing there for five minutes while your phone slowly loads the information.
