Extreme nest-making
We thought we’d parked Tin Box in some unusual places, but this feathered traveller takes the concept of mobile home to the extreme.

We spotted her starting to nest on the front wheel of our car one morning while at Black Knowle Caravan Club site in the New Forest.
Mr Tin Box set up a make shift hide at the front of the van and was able to snap this slightly blurry picture before the Blackbird became too spooked.
It seemed a shame to move the scraps of the new nest but it would have been ruder to drive off with them still sitting on the wheel. We carefully shifted the pieces to the floor and hoped our Blackbird would find a more appropriate place to build its home.
