Fanfare please…today (13 December) Tin Box Traveller turns two. I’ll be celebrating this milestone with a hot (if I’m lucky) cuppa, but secretly wishing it was a glass of bubbly. The proper celebration will have to wait until the arrival of Tin Box Baby 2 in April. A celebration of some of our favourite Tin Box moments…
We’ve been visiting lots of places on our doorstep since we packed up Tin Box for the year, with our local beach being one of our favourites. Here’s why! During our recent visit to Hill Head in Hampshire we were treated to an amazing sunset that gave everything a warm glow despite the cool breeze…
When the fab people at Mummy VS Daddy asked us to write a guest post about the meaning of Christmas it got us reminiscing. As fairly new parents we can still vaguely remember child-free festive seasons. Oh, how things have changed! You can read how much in our post Christmas: past, present and future. It…
‘Tis the season to be jolly so we thought we’d have a bit of fun creating our own caravan-themed 12 Days of Christmas. You know the tune, so here we go: On the first day of Christmas Mr Tin Box gave to me: blue for our chemical loo On the second day of Christmas Mr…
Before Christmas rudely gatecrashes our every waking moment, I thought I’d give a final word to autumn. A part from some inevitable wash out days, autumn is ideal for getting out and about. There’s also been Tin Box-less trips to Sweden where we experienced our first family holiday abroad, and Manchester where I spent my one and only (so far) night away from Tin Box…

But some parents go to great lengths with expensive day trips in order to make their teddy report the most exciting in their child’s class. It’s all well and good if you have the…
Being a doggy owner has given me a whole new perspective on Bonfire Night. I spent a small portion of my childhood in Hong Kong, so was exposed to a large number of exciting whizzes and bangs in what is the firework capital of the world. However, a lot of the sparkle goes out of the 5th of November…
Now that we’ve cracked caravanning with a toddler, we’ve decided to make things a bit more interesting…Tin Box Baby 2 is on the way! We’re growing our pumpkin patch This blog began two years ago when the imminent arrival of Tin Box Baby (now Tin Box Tot) inspired our decision to purchase a caravan. For…
