  2. I’ve always wanted to visit Wales and Swansea Bay sounds wonderful. I know my daughter would escpecially love the castle as she is really into princesses at the moment and just the other day declared she wanted to move to Europe because there are lots of castles there. #mondayescapes

  3. My heart is in the Gower, I spent all my childhood holidays there. There is a picture of me as a baby sitting naked at the shoreline at Caswell bay.

Rhossilli bay is extra special as we scattered my late father’s ashes there. A little bit of him will remain there forever.

To me The Mumbles is just the best, although the helter skelter is no longer there, it’s good to see the big apple is!

Lovely post and so evocative of childhood and my Dad for me – thank you X

  4. Oh I LOVED reading this! We visited Swansea Bay almost two years ago now for a family weekend and visited some of the same places you did. We stopped in the Premier Inn just over from Cafe Toucan and had lunch in the after swimming before we drove home. It was such a lovely weekend trip!
