Loving what’s on our doorstep
We’ve been visiting lots of places on our doorstep since we packed up Tin Box for the year, with our local beach being one of our favourites. Here’s why!
During our recent visit to Hill Head in Hampshire we were treated to an amazing sunset that gave everything a warm glow despite the cool breeze nipping at our cheeks. It seemed to have a life of it’s own.
The last time I remember seeing a sunset that made the air buzz was when Mr Tin Box and I were at Cafe Del Mar in Ibiza (obviously pre-Tot). If you’ve been you’ll know what I’m talking about.
The day before we were stretching Tin Box Dog’s legs a bit further down the coast at Lee-on-the-Solent. She was jumping in and out of the waves for about two miles while Mr TB threw her ball for her to fetch.
Tin Box Tot was more excited by the play park we passed on our way and was delighted when Mr TB supervised her on the big slide. The girl has no fear!
Unfortunately a little after this happy scene she managed to sit down in a muddy puddle, so our walk back to the car became more of a trot.
Another advantage of visitng the lovely places on your doorstep is that home and a clean change of clothes is never too far away!

It is when you are a few feet tall. I think I got a good angle on the picture. It looks a lot more epic than it really is, but the Tot thought it was great 🙂

It's so true, we're always going out and exploring the moors and the local woods. Mine also love exploring all the different natural fun around the farm as well! These are some great pictures. Thanks for linking up with Country Kids.
Exploring from your own doorstep is sometimes the best thing to do and it sounds like you have a great doorstep to explore from! We have fields nearby that we walk across, crossing the railway line and exploring further. We are hoping that these fields won't all be built on soon though 🙁 Found your new to me blog via Country Kids 🙂 Love the fearlessness of your tot! 🙂
