What are your favourite holiday souvenirs? According to a recent survey, fridge magnets are the nation’s travel keepsake of choice.

After years of capturing pictures of our travels and the odd bracelet that inevitably got lost under the kids’ beds, we have started collecting magnets too.

Fridge magnet collection

We stick magnets to our cooker hood because our fridge is integrated with our kitchen units. A quick glance at it is a superb reminder of all our adventures in 2018 and 2019. Up there are magnets from ports of call during our Royal Caribbean cruise, our long weekend in Newquay and our recent holiday in Tuscany.

I think my absolute favourite is the little tile below. Four-year-old Baby picked this out in Chania while we were on our first family holiday in Crete. It’s small and doesn’t give away many clues about where were, but we will always know.
