National Trust Easter trails near you
National Trust properties in England and Wales are holding Easter egg trails in 2024. This year the trails have a nature theme with a chocolate treat at the end.
Trails sheets cost are £3 which includes an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears and dairy or vegan and Free From chocolate egg.
Please note that start date and the duration of Easter trails varies from property to property. Some trails begin as early as 16 March this year.

English Heritage Easter egg hunts near you in 2024
Set your mini explorers an Easter adventure quest at more than 60 English Heritage sites around the country.
There’s also plenty of school holiday activities happening at English Heritage sites including LEGO® Brick Build events in seven places.

SEALIFE Pirate Treasure Hunt near you
A brand new Pirate Treasure Hunt is taking place at SEA LIFE attractions across the country from 11 March to 21 April 2024.
Visitors are being challenged to help Captain Careless find lost booty hidden around the aquarium using a pirate map. Along the way you’ll learn all about other treasures of the ocean.
Other activities happening this Easter include interactive games, a meet at greet with Captain Careless and opportunities to learn pirate skills.

RHS Gardens Easter egg hunts across England
The Royal Horticultural Society’s (RHS) five gardens are not only blooming for Spring, they’re also offering egg hunts to visitors this Easter.
Chocolate-loving explorers of all ages can sniff out the giant eggs at RHS Garden Bridgewater, Salford; RHS Harlow Carr, North Yorkshire; RHS Hyde Hall, Essex; RHS Rosemoor, North Devon; and RHS Wisley, Surrey on selected dates from 23 March to 14 April 2024.
Children who successfully find all of the hidden eggs will be rewarded with a special treat from vegan chocolate brand NOMO.
Additional action-packed activities are on offer throughout the Easter holidays including storytelling sessions, arts and crafts workshops and family-friendly planting. Dates, times and activities vary per garden.

Royal Cornwall Museum presents: The Marvellous Mechanical Museum
This Easter the Royal Cornwall Museum presents an entertaining and interactive show, exploring the fascinating world of automata.
Blending art, science, and engineering, The Marvellous Mechanical Museum showcases the work of leading automata artists, delighting the curious of all ages with these fascinating displays of art in motion. Many of the featured pieces were created in a 10 to 15 mile radius of the Museum in Truro.
The exhibition also pays attention to environmental and climate themes through these mechanical art works, including The Last Dodo, by Paul Spooner and The Large Green Jungle by Paul Markey.
The Marvellous Mechanical Museum is on from 29 March to 6 July 2024.

Springtime surprise at Audley End Miniature Railway

Giffords Circus in Stroud
Giffords Circus is starting its 2024 tour at Fennells Farm in Stroud this Easter.
The show combine’s dance, comedy, horses and live music in a beautiful white tent surrounded by vintage-style burgundy showman’s wagons.

Easter challenge and new arrivals at Birdland
Dozens of eggs are due to be laid over the coming weeks with plenty of new arrivals expected at Birdland during the Easter holidays.
Families can also join in the Easter Challenge Quiz throughout the holidays, hunting down hidden eggs around the park and answering some fun ornithological questions.
Visitors can also go back in time to hunt for dinosaur eggs in the Jurassic Journey trail and explore prehistoric fossils in the Dino Dig.

Lambing Live at Cotswold Farm Park
The highlight of Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park’s Spring schedule is the UK’s largest live lambing and kidding experience, in which families will be able to get up close with the newest members of the attraction’s flock.
This year over 900 new arrivals are expected and there’s a chance you could see some of them being born.
Between 23 March and 14 April 2024, experts from the farm will be on-hand to share their knowledge with daily lambing talks to help visitors learn all about the new arrivals, making this a must-see experience for all animal-lovers.

Blackpool’s Norbreck Castle will be playing host to a LEGO fan event over the Easter holidays dedicated to all things LEGO bricks.
The event on 6 April is open to fans of all ages. There will be plenty to see and do, including speed building competitions, large scale displays, a dedicated building area and visiting traders selling everything from mini figures and loose bricks to retired LEGO sets.

The Passion of Jesus in Trafalgar Square
The Passion will be performed in London on Good Friday, 29 March 2024.
The story commemorating the day Jesus was arrested, tried and crucified by the Romans, two days before miraculously rising from the dead on Easter Sunday, is brought to life by a cast of over a hundred, dressed in full costume, along with horses, doves and a donkey.
This the open-air production is free to attend and regularly attracts more than 20,000 people to its two performances. The Passion will be performed at 12pm and 3.15pm.

Kids Do Soho at Underbelly
From Easter 2024 Underbelly Boulevard is hosting Kids Do Soho – a specially curated programme of events created for children and their parents to enjoy and discover the world of the arts.
There will be a range of shows and other activities around the three-level venue which is a five-minute walk from Piccadilly Circus or Leicester Square tube stations.
The shows kick off in April with JezO’s Car-Crash Magic an unusual blend of comedy, audience participation and magic – and Baby Loves Disco with DJ Dub & special guest DJs mixing feel-good dance floor fillers.
Further shows and workshops will be announced on a rolling basis throughout the year.

Merchant Square Easter Egg Hunt
The annual Merchant Square Easter Egg Hunt and interactive show will be returning on 5 April 2024.
This year the event has a Humpty Dumpty theme. Help the Egg Soldiers find all the broken egg pieces, gather the King’s Men and put Humpty back together again. The show takes place six times during the day.
As well as the show, if you find and photograph all the hidden carrots at Merchant Square you will earn a Bunny chocolate reward.
All the activities are free but volunteers from COSMIC charity will be collecting donations to help parents and carers of babies and children in intensive care.

Family zoo Drusillas has launched of a new free in-app Easter Egg Trail for visitors to enjoy this school holiday.

Studfold Adventure Trail opens at Easter
This North Yorkshire family attraction will be enlisting its community of fairies to help young children appreciate the natural world from Easter.
The one-mile Studfold Adventure Trail at Lofthouse in Nidderdale makes the most of its woodland and meadow setting particularly in April, May and June when primroses, bluebells and buttercups produce a riot of colour.
To help fire youngsters’ imaginations the adventure trail includes intricate fairy and pixie houses that are located in logs, on tree trunks and nestled between stones and which house answers to some of the 17 nature-related clues along the route.
The trail is open for Easter from 23 March 2024. Booking is essential.

Royal Armouries International Jousting Tournament in Leeds
The Royal Armouries are bringing live-action jousting to the heart of Yorkshire this Easter bank holiday weekend.
Teams from the UK, France and Italy will compete between 29 March and 1 April 2024 for honour and trophies in this spectacular live sporting event from medieval times.
